Photographer/Videographer – Western Cape Full Time

We are seeking an enterprising professional who is up-to-date on photo/video trends in marketing, and is driven to creatively capture all that our client offers, from events and activities, individual departments’ storytelling and product shots.  Photography and videos will be used across social media platforms, in email communications, and in other media as needs arise.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing their own equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Shoot, edit, and produce photo / video content for the social media platforms, print publications, email communications, public relations outreach, advertisements, special events, meetings/presentations, and other media as needs arise;
• Generate high-quality still images and videos worthy of wide audiences that showcase products, people, events, and other offerings;
• Receive and manage all video and photography requests. Schedule, organise, and manage video and photo shoots. Maintain a video and photoshoot calendar;
• Storyboard concepts, film and conduct interviews, gather necessary b-roll footage and edit videos to meet the  marketing and communication standards and needs;
• Work to ensure all photography and videography created by the Marketing Department meets the company brand guidelines;
• Add and organise photos in the company Dropbox account;
• Maintain all photography and videography gear and equipment;
• All other administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications required:

• 1-3 years of experience in video and digital photography, preferably in luxury brand, Luxury publication, Lifestyle, Wine business setting;
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe programs including Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom, and After Effects;
• Ability to expertly operate mid- to high-level cameras, video cameras, microphones, and lighting;
• Demonstrated proficiency and passion for modern photography and videography styles;
• Enthusiasm for a variety of image styles and a commitment to quality work across different departments;
• Must be dependable, respectful, self-motivated, adaptable, efficient, and personable;
• Must be able to work well with a wide range of people, including immediate team, HOD and staff.
• Must be comfortable working both independently and with the marketing team;
• Must be able to juggle multiple projects, respond to immediate requests, and work in a high-energy, deadline-driven atmosphere;
• Must employ a deep respect and appreciation for our various audiences and their interests and habits;
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Regular hours will be Monday-Friday, approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but some evening and weekend hours will be required.
