JUNIOR PLANNER (SUPPLY CHAIN) TEMP – 6 Months FTC – WESTERN CAPE Full Time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible for auditing daily/weekly Unfilled Demand and validate whether open PO’s (reactive orders) solve for Customer Availability. Where gaps are identified, manual buys will be executed to source items customers want and ensure their Availability. They will also create the processes and escalation routes to fix defects blocking reactive ordering and engage with vendors around prompt Purchase Order Confirmations and Delivery Bookings.

  • Proactive review of daily Unfilled Demand with associated actions/next steps
  • Automated Buying audits in relation to Unfilled Demand to identify and fix defects/blockers through SOPs and escalation channels (RBS/AIMx)
  • Vendor Engagement to facilitate VCR improvements and expedite inbounding of inventory
  • CS collaboration: Promptly address contacts flagged by the Customer Service team to enhance buyer confidence/CX
  • Ad-hoc daily demands from Retail team to remove workload from the ISMs
  • Progress reporting on scope of work

 

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)
  • MS Office & Applications Experience
  • Excel aptitude at a more advanced level is preferential
  • Basic SQL/Query writing would be advantageous but not essential
