HOLDINGS CONTROLLER – JOHANNESBURG – GAUTENG Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform secretarial functions related to the Companies Act and other legal operations of the client.
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance needs are met, with support from auditors and consultants.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with auditors, financial institutions, regional controllers, and relevant authorities.
• Oversee the accounting function and daily activities of the Holding function.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting of Holding results to the group and consolidated legal entity.
• Safeguard a robust internal control environment to protect company assets and ensure financial reporting and accounting practices align with the client’s standards and local statutory rules.
• Prepare relevant financial materials for management meetings, business reviews, company reviews, legal boards, and general business follow-up.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for local and regional management.
• Conduct quarterly balance sheet reviews, including general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage internal stakeholder relationships and participate in internal audit activities.
• Oversee the payroll function.
• Improve efficiency within the region in terms of reporting, sustainability and systems thinking.
• Monitor statutory and tax reporting of respective legal entities in the region.
• Handle funding and treasury-related topics for the respective legal entities.
• Support acquisitions and related financial activities in the region.
• Manage plant and property-related financial matters for the region.
• Engage with the Holding controller network to ensure best practices and consistency across the region.
• Drive the regional business controller network through collaboration with the region, highlighting initiatives and relevant matters.
