Key duties and responsibilities
Oversee operational aspects of the business including IT, travel and conferencing, procurement, insurance and fleet management
Successfully negotiate operating lease facilities with external service providers
Ensure that the interests of the organization are adequately protected in contracts agreement entered in, with third parties.
Provide commercially relevant legal advice and support to the business
Ensure that the organisation’s BBBEE verification is complete on an annual basis and propose improvements to be implemented to improve the BBBEE verification score to enable the company to optimise future business opportunities.
Design, implement and maintain best practice policies, including procurement, in line with donor and statutory requirements.
Essential qualifications and experience
Minimum of a B. Com Hons degree or equivalent,
5 -10 years’ experience in a senior Business Management role,
Knowledge of procurement best practice principles
Sound commercial law knowledge and experience
Relevant knowledge and experience in drafting and reviewing legal contracts/agreements
Understanding of BBBEE codes and legislation.
