Undertake nursing duties within a comprehensive Primary Health Care Service. This is in terms of the scope of practise of an enrolled nurse as laid down in regulations under the Nursing Act.
Support patient follow up services, Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities. Phlebotomy duties.
Maintains books, registers and records as directed.
Ensure record keeping and management of stock and equipment.
Undertake pre and post-test counselling.
Clinical file audits for TPT/VL/clinical recording
Follow up with patients telephonically
Review case identification register against Tier.Net
Management of viral load lists and results
Ensuring linkage to care and implementation of decanting strategies
Undertake adhoc tasks as and when required
Enrolled Nurse Qualification
SANC Registration (South African Nursing Council)
HIV counselling certificate
2 years’ working experience in a public health setting
1 year’s working experience in HIV testing
Ability to handle a varied, busy, pressurised workload with competing demands on time and extensive travel to various sites
Positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work.
A valid driver’s license
